The personal and anecdotal view of human history has been mostly lost due to Social Disconnect caused by social, physical, and technological factors. People simply aren't sharing deep, intimate, authentic or personal content because the right platform, purpose-built for life story & legacy, one that guarantees privacy, security, and content ownership, isn’t yet available… until now! 

Generational Disconnect

More than 30 million North American households are "empty nesters" with adult children. Multigenerational families represent about only 3% of total households, in Canada.

Disintegration of Families

Approximately 50% of all American and 40% Canadian marriages end in divorce.

Mental Illness

More than 5 million Americans and almost half a million Canadians are living with dementia and Alzheimer's. This will increase in many jurisdictions by 127% by the year 2025 which will result in a physical loss of connection and the sharing of history, stories and information.

Geographical Disconnect

Almost 23% of the Canadian population are immigrants with a majority under the age of 45.

According to studies by Allianz, Merrill Lynch, and Edward Jones, the majority of Americans aged 55+, regardless of wealth status, believe that personal/family non-material legacy (stories, experiences, values, family history, etc) is the most important thing to be remembered for.

We have bits & pieces of our lives across social media, photo/document management platforms, photo albums, scrapbooks, DVDs, VHS, audio files and stories in head that we haven't yet told. We as people tend to wear digital online masks to create a narrative and/or perspective of ourselves that isn't entirely real or authentic. And without the balance that Personal Media brings to the Digital Media ecosystem (Digital Sanctuary), we as people are not documenting a genuine, authentic life story or legacy for ourselves, our families or for future generations. 

We are losing the individual perspective of our personal & family history and not capturing and sharing deep, intimate, personal stories/content/feelings because there wasn't a platform purpose-built for this with the privacy/security or content ownership necessary to earn our digital trust.
